Teaching Policies
This professional teaching service has been helping students achieve their
academic and professional career goals for many years. As students discover
that professional teaching services can often mean the difference between
success and failure, more and more students are relying on the help that this
service can provide. Since this service consists of only one instructor, myself,
there are just so many students that I can accommodate. In recent times, the
demand for these services has increased to the point where certain policies are
necessary to ensure fairness and equal access to all students who are serious
about success. These policies are presented below…
Scheduling: Each weekday (Monday through Friday) provides for three regular 90-minute sessions per day. Regular sessions less than 90-minutes are not available.
Early Morning Weekday Session ............. 6:00
AM to 7:30 AM
Early Morning Weekday Session ............. 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM
Mid-Morning Weekday Session ............... 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Students who appear for their first regular appointment earn the privilege of rescheduling the same appointment time for the following week. This policy thus allows each student to attend a regular weekly appointment schedule which can be coordinated with school and/or work. While the student may schedule as many appointment times within a given week as he or she desires (based upon availability), most students schedule at least two regular appointment times per week. Over the years, this formula has proven to be the most effective for academic success.
Two weekend morning appointments on Saturday and Sunday are also available subject to the following provisions...
Early Morning Weekend Session ............. 6:00
AM to 7:30 AM
Early Morning Weekend Session ............. 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM
Please note that weekend appointments are best used as "Test Review Sessions" for college students, and as regular appointments for those unable to attend on weekdays due to work and/or school obligations. Please also note that on occasion however, the instructor may not be able to attend one or more scheduled weekend appointments on a given weekend due to prior family commitments.
Teaching Location: All appointments are conducted in the professional teaching facility located within the instructor's personal residence at 2743 Madison Street, Hollywood, FL 33020. Virtual appointments by Skype are also available whenever the student is unable to attend a given appointment in person.
Waiting List: As calls are always coming in from new students seeking help, a waiting list is maintained in the event the teaching schedule is full, or if students are unable to secure regular appointment time(s) due to conflicts with their work and/or school schedule. Each prospective student is then asked to indicate what appointment time(s) he or she would be able to attend by downloading and submitting an Appointment Availability Form. Once an opening becomes available, students on the waiting list are then contacted and scheduled.
Canceled Appointments: Scheduled appointments represent a commitment on behalf of the student as well as the instructor. If a student fails to appear for a scheduled appointment without notifying the instructor in advance, the instructor reserves the right to offer that regular appointment time to another student. The new student thus has the option of keeping that regular appointment time at his or her option. This policy is necessary to ensure that all students attend their scheduled appointments or risk losing them to other students. As the number of regular teaching sessions are limited, most students cherish their regular appointment times and will not risk losing them by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment. As a highly-recommended alternative to canceling a scheduled appointment outright, there is always a Skype alternative and payments by Zelle whereby we can still meet and accomplish the day’s lesson on the computer; even if we must slightly alter our start time and/or finish time to accommodate the needs of the day. Skype and Zelle works amazingly well and available whenever the need arises. For more information on appointments by Skype, please review my policy on "Short Notice Cancellations and Other Acts of Irresponsibility."
Billing: All billing begins from scheduled appointment time and payment is due for the entire 90-minute session at the conclusion of each appointment. Partial billings are not offered and/or prorated if a student happens to be late for a given appointment. Students are therefore advised to provide for adequate travel time and arrive a few minutes early so that each learning session can begin promptly as scheduled.
Contacting the Instructor: The instructor can be contacted
by telephone at (954) 922-8040, however the instructor maintains a strict policy
of not answering telephone calls during teaching sessions. All voicemail
messages are eventually returned to those wishing to leave a message. The
instructor does not typically communicate with students by email.
